Under the Sea

Intent:Finding out about beach life and living under the sea.
Exploring different types of holidays, destinations and where we are in the world
Knowing the importance of keeping safe, in the sun and in the water.
Exploring and experiencing hot and cold, sweet and savoury, flavours, likes and dislikes.

Implementation:

Using pictures, videos, songs and stories of beach and sea life to prompt discussion. 
Seeking, creating and observing a water world.  Identifying and planning what to take on holiday.
Creative activities to embed learning and understanding.
Water world extension to emphasise leaving only footprints behind
Being water and sun safe through our daily activities.
Using the fun Ice cream parlour to explore hot and cold, sweet and savoury, flavours, likes and dislikes.
