Katy became our Chairperson in 2022 following several years of being on  the committee whilst her own children attended Stepping Stones.

Katy is a fully qualified teacher often providing supply work for local schools. In her spare time she enjoys running local sewing classes for adults and children and also taking part in a Flyball club with her dogs.​​

Rachel worked as an Events Manager before experiencing a ‘light bulb moment’ during her time on the Parent Committee at Stepping Stones and observing the positive impact Stepping Stones had on her own children’s inspiring early years education. Rachel began retraining in 2007, gaining her Level 6 in 2011 and has fulfilled a variety of roles including Sendco, Designated Safeguarding Lead and finally taking over as Manager in 2016.

Outside of Stepping Stones Rachel enjoys being a taxi to her teenagers, walking the beautiful local countryside of Claverdon with her husband and their very scruffy dog Tatty, cooking and appreciating family meals together.​

I’ve been proudly working in Early Years for the past 11 years. My journey into childcare began after being made redundant from my Cabin crew career while on maternity leave and it turned out to be the start of something I truly love. I began re-training  for my level 3 Early years educator qualification in 2014 & have a strong interest in safeguarding & supporting children with SEN.

As a single parent to my wonderful 13-year-old son, who has Autism, I understand how important a warm, supportive environment is for children and their families. I’m passionate about creating a safe, nurturing space where children can learn, grow, and thrive every day!

In my spare time, I enjoy keeping active at the gym, exploring the outdoors on long walks, and spending quality time with my family and friends.

Julia worked in the reception class in a school in Birmingham for over 20 years. Julia and her husband  have recently moved to Henley in Arden and are currently exploring everything this beautiful area has to offer. When she is not at work Julia enjoys socializing with family and friends and walking her dog Poppy.

Steph is a Mum of three who enjoys family adventures and music! She has been in the childcare sector for around 15 years having previously worked as a childminder. 

Shannon is a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner with over 12 years experience.  She is a mother of 2 who loves countryside walks, netball, horse riding and holidays with her family.

George works at Stepping Stones every Tuesday morning, focusing on one-to-one and small group activities. She was a teacher in Solihull for over 14 years. Both her boys happily attended Stepping Stones. In her spare time she likes walking her dog called Cookie and creating fused glass artwork.

​Since joining the setting in 2025, I’ve continued to grow my practice and proudly completed my Level 6 Early Years qualification.  I have a particular passion for physical development, and nutrition. Life outside work is wonderfully full — I’m a mum to two high‑school children with busy social lives — and whenever I get a moment to myself, I love running, reading, and heading out on long walks with Buddy, our family dog.

Hannah is our Administrator here at Stepping Stones.  Outside of here she loves nothing more than spending time with her family and friends and her two dogs Hugo and Tilly.  Hannah really enjoys her fitness, especially running whereby she can get out in the local countryside and explore.
